Looking at the 7 Churches in the Book of Revelation, there are some pretty strong words that Jesus reserved for the church in Pergamum. Why? What were they doing? How did their culture mirror the values of our culture today?
God is love. And God is truth. Somewhere in the intersection between truth and love is the tension that we must attempt to figure out if we are going to, first, pursue God with all of our hearts, before we begin to pursue intimacy with someone else.
This three-part series in Pergamum will begin with an introduction and an update. Then, it will build upon those observations from Scripture with a two-part follow up: Side A & Side B.
